Christmas Lunch at Morley Hayes Sunday December 8th 2019
We have been to Morley Hayes many times before and had a really good meal. This time was no exception with a choice of traditional Christmas fare and meals for those who are tired of turkey or think they will be by the 25th December.
We had Christmas crackers, party poppers and balloons for those of us in our second childhood to send whizzing round the room and drop into someone’s drink. I must be getting old, try as I may I could not get my balloons to blow up. Service was very good and company very convivial as always at an RREC East Midlands event.
There were no warnings of frost or snow, so many members came in their club cars. We had to avoid driving through some very deep and wide puddles on the way there, but that’s England in late autumn and winter for you.
